Mrs. Doug called and said that the surgeon doesn't recommend a mastectomy at this time. He said that as small as it is and since none of the tissue around it has been affected, removing the lump is all the he believes is necessary at this time. He has given her some websites to look at to do a little more research and she will go back next week to decide what exactly she will do. She will have 5 weeks of radiation following her surgery.
