Bro. Dale had another good day. He was still sleepy most of the morning though. But he really perked up about 4:30 this afternoon and was awake for a few hours. We need to pray that his alert time will be more in the morning hours when the therapists are coming in to work with him. The speech therapist was able to get him to open his mouth for her. She said that his jaw is not as tight as it had been and he is able to drop his jaw down more and open his mouth wider than before. Mrs. Doug still has worked with his right arm a good bit and he still doesn't like it, but he hasn't told her to stop yet!
Mrs. Doug said that she brought in some pictures today to show him. She had about 30 of them. He took each of them from her and studied them. Some of the ones from vacation he looked at more briefly, but others he really studied. He smiled at the pictures of the grandkids and Buster the dog. He also looked at his tractor and truck for a long time.
Today he had some visitors. Tony Watkins, John Jasper Adams, and Bill and Beverly Gore.
“Be strong and courageous.... The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:7-8
