I just spoke with Mrs. Doug. She said he's had an OK day. His fever has come down a little to 101.7. They've done lung and urine cultures, blood work and a lung x-ray today but it will be 24-48 hours before they have the results of those. His heart rate seems to go up in the late afternoon. They are trying to get it under control. He has been awake some, but they are trying to let him rest as much as he can. They aren't giving him anything to make him sleep, but they are not trying to keep him awake either. Please just keep the prayers going as he fights through this.

I asked Mrs. Doug if she had a "theme verse" that they had been leaning on particularly through this whole process and she shared with me Psalm 71:17-18.
"17 Since my youth, God, you have taught me,
and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.
18 Even when I am old and gray,
do not forsake me, my God,
till I declare your power to the next generation,
your mighty acts to all who are to come."
May God use Bro. Dale even in these difficult days to continue to declare God's power to all of us!
